iPad 3, the newest tablet Apple has brought to market, shows more hardware power than design innovation. Described by Apple itself, the iPad 3 is not a revolutionary development, but rather “revolutionary,” a word that still amazes people.

This latest tablet from Apple is no thinner or lighter than its predecessor, the iPad 2. The iPad 3 is 50g heavier and 0.6mm thicker than the iPad2. However, it has a dazzling edge. A very visible superiority among the other tablets out there to date: its DISPLAY. Its 9.7-inch screen is highly capable of displaying 3.1 million pixels at 264ppi and what else? The resolution! Ipad 3 Retina Display offers 2048×1536, leaving out its competitors that only have a resolution of 1280×800. Unlike the other tablets, it cannot detect a pixelated image. You can compare for yourself if you find it amazing. And to complement its high-definition power, HD video has the power to display 1080p, making this new iPad’s iTunes Full HD movie catalog.

Due to Apple Retina in the iPad 3, which is primarily responsible for its top-notch display, this tablet requires a much more powerful processor and a very capable dual-core processor, the A5X with a quad-core GPU. With this processing power, navigating through the tablet’s menu and apps became smoother than ever. And if you are a gamer, it surely gives you a much better gaming experience.

And for the camera function of this tablet, the iPad 3 only has an aperture of f/2.4. Its resolution capacity is not extraordinary at all, it only has 5mp instead of the usual 8. However, the iPad 3’s video capture shows promise with its 30 frames per second capability.

The connectivity of the iPad 3 gives another surprise to everyone. It has a 4G network and HSPA+. The latter, which is almost close to 4G, promises a maximum download speed of 21 Mbps, which prepares the device for connectivity innovation that is expected soon, such as the upgrade of HSPA in some countries that will have a connectivity of 42 Mbps

Even with a much more powerful capacity, the iPad 3 shares almost the same battery advantage with its predecessor, as it has 10 hours of WiFi browsing, nine hours on the mobile network and ten hours of music or video playback.

And for the last part of this review, due to the high resolution feature of the iPad3, its 64 GB models are expected to outsell its 16 GB for high resolution features which also come with heavy files. Nobody wants to run out of memory space so easily.
