I was always looking for ways to build muscle fast. This article touches me very closely, I was a skinny guy who always wanted to be defined, but never could. Until I learned a couple of key lessons that I want to share with you today.

Today, there is so much focus on losing weight and burning fat that there is often nowhere to turn for the skinny man who wants to gain muscle. Then the skinny guy finds weight gain products and tries them or some other crappy supplement and never really understands why he’s not big and muscular like the other guys at the gym.

Well, hard winners, there is hope for you! Here are my 5 ways to build muscle fast for lean men.

1) 10 repetitions max.

If you’re lifting for more than 10 reps, then you’re actually using more slow-twitch muscles. Keep your weights heavy and don’t go beyond 10 reps. You need to hit the maximum number of muscle fibers. If your goals really are to get ripped, then you need to get into heavyweight mode.

2) Fast and Intense

Hardgainer workouts should be intense, you don’t need to spend two hours a day in the gym to grow your lean muscles. Your sets should be done closer together, I generally believe in a 30-60 second rest between sets. Between different exercises, try setting it up and start your first rep at about 2 minutes.

For starters, you may feel out of your comfort zone. Trust me though, this tip alone will increase your muscle density dramatically over the next month or two.

Your cardio should follow suit too, check out this info on interval training, the best type of cardio.

3) Maximum only once per muscle group

You don’t have to fail every time you lift a weight. You want to keep your muscles stimulated and in growth mode. However, you don’t want to break them into pieces so they take 2 weeks to recover. This is not effective muscle building and it is not one of the ways to build muscle fast.

If you do a heavy exercise and fail at it, you’re aiming for about 90% of the way to failure, while the rest will do more than enough to stimulate your muscles. For example, if you are working your shoulders and doing presses and upright rows in one day. Pick your presses and go to failure with them. However, don’t go to failure on your upright rows and whatever else you’re doing for your shoulders.

4) Focus on compound exercises

You will never build the muscles you want doing shrugs and leg extensions. This is not one of the ways to build muscle fast. Sure there’s a time for this, but let’s face it, you’re doing it because it’s easier than you should be doing.

Your weight gain workouts should focus on the following types of exercises. Legs: squats and deadlifts (these are the most important of all) Chest: bench press and dips Back: rows and pull-ups Shoulders: presses

It’s that simple, you can vary these exercises by doing them at different angles and in different orders, but these are the exercises that are going to make you stronger. Simple as that.

5) Put More Plates

You should keep a log, I suggest you keep a small log book with you at the gym. Stick to a routine and keep track of your reps/sets and weights. You can also write down little notes, like how your muscles felt, etc.

This way you can track your progress. You should try to increase your weight by about 5% every two weeks. You just have to keep improving to keep building and stimulating those muscles. Especially if you are a big winner trying to get marked.

the tough unite

This isn’t your typical bodybuilding tip, but it’s not like if you’re reading this and you’re a skinny guy looking to get ripped, then you’re not your typical bodybuilder. You’re looking for ways to build muscle fast and these are the best ways to do it. Like I said in the intro, she was 6 feet tall and weighed about 155 pounds drenched. Now I’m still 6′ but I’ve graduated up to 200lbs and that’s real muscle. Trust me, if a bean pole like me can snap, so can you.
