Since I was 15 years old I started building houses. My construction job helped me finish high school and eventually graduate from college. Looking back on building my time, I am thankful for two things. The first thing is that the construction allowed me to earn enough money to pay my expenses. The second and most important thing that construction taught me is that I didn’t like the idea of ​​working harder to earn more money.

I know that sounds a bit crazy to many of you. You may be thinking, “Of course you need to work harder to earn more money,” but I disagree. When he was building houses, to earn more money, he had to work longer hours. For me, that way of life was simply not acceptable. My construction job quickly helped me realize that I needed to find a way to make more money with less effort. It was then that I began to think about life. It didn’t take much searching to realize that everyone gets good at something. Some people are good at being victims in life. Some people are good at making excuses for why their lives aren’t fulfilling. Other people eventually get good at flipping burgers and taking orders. Each of us has a choice in what we decide to do with our time. Why not start making your choices differently? I was learning how to build houses, the problem was that building houses only led to building more houses. They would have left me trading time for money for the rest of my life.

Instead of building houses, I chose to start with wholesale real estate. Wholesale real estate has allowed me to take an hourly wage of $10/hr, up to $1,000 per hour. Last week I made a deal where I put in 8 hours of total work. I made $16,000 on that deal, if you’re bad at math that’s $2,000 an hour. I have completed many more offers similar to this one. The good thing about selling real estate wholesale is that you don’t need cash or credit to start doing it. Any of you could make the same deals, regardless of your current position in life. From now on, start asking yourself the difficult question “Am I learning to make money or am I learning to trade time for money?” The answer to that question will put you on the path to wealth.
