Laptop Review – HP Pavilion DV6-1260SE 15.6-inch Entertainment Laptop

Specifications: In the interest of appealing to the mass market, most of the laptops on the market today have a secure design and very similar features. The HP Pavilion DV6-1260SE 15.6-inch Entertainment Laptop plans to change all that, as it’s meant to cater to the more adventurous laptop user, be it in terms of design or function.

This model has a 2.3GHz AMD Turion processor, 4GB of RAM, and a whopping 500GB hard drive. For graphics, it is powered by ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 graphics card. Its 15.6-inch screen has a resolution of 1366 x 768 which is great for watching HD videos and playing games.

Design: The HP Pavilion DV6-1260SE 15.6-inch Entertainment Laptop is mostly white in color, decorated with eye-catching blue wavy patterns. The design is the winning design of the 2008 MTV Engine Room contest. Those looking to break free from the plethora of boring laptop designs will love this mode. This model measures 14.9 x 10.15 x 1.33 inches and weighs 6.47 pounds.

Features and performance: As the name suggests, the HP Pavilion DV6-1260SE 15.6-inch Laptop is designed for entertainment-focused laptop users. It’s a pretty decent gaming laptop and would also appeal to those who often use their laptops for graphics design and video watching. We had no trouble running ‘heavy’ applications on this machine and its multitasking speed was near perfect. At the time this review was written, the HP Pavilion DV6-1260SE 15.6-inch Entertainment Laptop retails for around $799 each, an excellent price considering its powerful specs and novelty factor.
