Little girls and their love for all things Frozen still seems to be as strong as ever! The stores are full of new toys for Christmas and girls everywhere seem to keep dressing up as Elsa and Ana, even my daughter is obsessed and she’s not 2 yet!

There have been countless Frozen themed parties across the country and it is still as popular as ever! So what makes the perfect Frozen party?

Of course, the birthday girl HAS to be dressed as her favorite princess… or of course Olaf if you prefer! These costumes can be found in all supermarkets, toy stores, and online retailers! A perfect Frozen cake must be brought out for the birthday girl to blow out the candles! I’ve seen everything from elaborately decorated creations, with icing figures, to homemade plastic toy decorating jobs! My favorite was at a party my son was invited to, and the girls’ mom made a delicious strawberry cream filled sponge cake, decorated with blue buttercream frosting and edible ‘glass’ bits on top! It looked fabulous!

Then fun! Obviously this will depend on the budget, the place, the number of children! A bouncy castle is always a winner, and I’ve seen a few Frozen castles popping up on Instagram! Pass the Parcel is a must – packed with lots of candy and maybe a few challenges and a Frozen toy in the middle! How about a snowball fight? Perfect if you’re in Sweden maybe, but not so great for a party in Sussex in July…how about some stuffed snowballs? You could create a cardboard backdrop with some holes cut out and dots written on it and see who can pass the most snowballs or get the highest points. And, of course, there’s the soundtrack to play, on a loop: I don’t think any girl has gotten bored of singing Let It Go yet!

The internet can offer a plethora of ideas for Frozen themed party food! Some marshmallows could easily be decorated to look like Olaf, along with some carrot sticks to shape his nose! A bowl full of marshmallows, twigs and raisins and the kids could build their own snowman! A blue jelly would be a treat! Just like anything covered in frosting or blue icing!

Don’t let your party bags disappoint you with the Frozen theme at home! Snowflake stationery, punched notebooks and balloons, along with some Frozen bubbles, all packed in a blue food box and your daughter will have some very happy friends!
