The Frieza Chest
One of the most popular home freezers seems to be the chest type, which is available in various sizes. The 6 cubic foot freezer holds approximately 200 pounds of frozen food when stacked properly. The 10 cubic foot size will hold approximately 350 pounds. Both sizes will suit the smaller family. They keep everything cool no matter how hot the outside temperature is and provide easy access to food. However, the larger family or farmer’s wife will probably need the 16 cubic foot freezer that holds 550 pounds or the 22 cubic foot freezer that holds about 800 pounds. Food can be kept frozen year-round in the large chest freezer, making it economical for country estates.

The chest freezer usually has a magnetic seal around the entire lid, which prevents warm air from entering the freezer. The blast freeze area is located above the electric motor end, however good quality freezers have the freeze pipes around the walls and at the bottom, not just at one end. Vinyl lined dividers are provided with the larger chest freezers. Dividers allow you to keep different types of food separate. Vinyl coated baskets are also supplied with chest freezers. These are great for a variety of small items.

Most well-built chest freezers have a temperature control located on the outside, allowing you to switch to blast freezing when you put a large amount of food in at once. Any type of food that is quick frozen is of much better quality when eaten later.

upright freezer
If kitchen space is an issue, I would highly recommend the upright or upright freezer as it saves so much space and takes up very little valuable floor space. Again, there are several sizes to choose from. High-quality upright freezer typically has adjustable vinyl-lined shelves and steel interior liner, with freezer tubes running all the way around, lining the sides, back, bottom, and top, i.e., inside the liner, outside the view.

The quick freeze area is located at the bottom directly above the freezer motor. A temperature control and quick freeze switch are usually also placed at the bottom. With a tap of your toe, you can switch to quick freeze. Once the food is frozen, return to thermostatic control. Remember that the faster you freeze food, the better the quality. There is usually plenty of room in the door for easy access to smaller items. An ice bucket and several ice cube trays are also usually supplied. Once again, a magnetic door seal provides a perfect seal every time. There’s no chance of hot air getting in, which means no precious energy is wasted. Of course, the convenience of the upright freezer should not be forgotten, because when the shelves are full of frozen food, you have a supermarket in your own kitchen!

The Fridge Freezer
If you need a new refrigerator and have never had a freezer, I suggest trading in your old refrigerator for a new side-by-side dual-temperature refrigerator with freezer. It’s two appliances in one, a home fridge plus a true long-term freezer cabinet. You will never regret the extra cost because you will have the pleasure of automatic defrost function in both compartments. A fan blows icy fresh air into the fridge and freezer and continuously circulates so there is no frost or consideration. No need to defrost and you can identify your frozen food immediately because it doesn’t freeze. You can buy frozen food specials at the grocery store, store them in your freezer, and save several dollars a month on your grocery bill. You’ll also find your first freezer very convenient, as leftover food can be packed up, frozen, and used weeks or months later.

The refrigerator freezer deep freeze storage cabinet is usually placed on the top of the refrigerator cabinet. On some models they are side by side, and some have been made with the freezer under the refrigerator compartment. All models are typically equipped with interior lighting and vinyl-lined adjustable shelves. In the refrigerator compartment there is a rack for eggs, a chest for butter and cheese and a drawer for vegetables. Once again, magnetic door seals are fitted to all quality fridge freezers to keep cold air in and warm air out. The double freezer in the refrigerator takes up very little precious space on the kitchen floor. You will never regret buying a good quality freezer.
