I don’t think anyone would argue that there is something very special about young children. They are often extremely affectionate and more firmly attached to their mothers than you might have anticipated. Their high energy levels and need to constantly move with pleasure can be an endless source of entertainment. And the fact that they give dad a new friend, sports partner or someone who will carry on the family name usually makes them very welcome. But sometimes I hear from families who have multiple boys who very much want a girl to top up (or at least lower) testosterone levels in the house. Often, they have tried with the last pregnancy or pregnancies to have a girl, but somehow continue to conceive boys. This article will focus on some adjustments you can make to ensure you get a girl next time.

Check to see if your time is too late: Trying to conceive too late in your fertile window may mean that you are more likely to conceive a boy. Y or the boy who produces sperm is relatively vulnerable and weak, so he lives fewer days than X or the girl who produces sperm. If you conceive even a few days before ovulation occurs, you are more likely to have a girl, since the Y sperm are not likely to stick around until the egg is viable. So if you’re still having children, you may only be trying to conceive once ovulation has occurred, and for our purposes, that’s too late. This is very common, as most ovulation predictors or methods mostly show “positive” only once ovulation has occurred, but this period of time is too late to conceive a girl. Instead, you’ll want to get a predictor (such as saliva) that can start showing positive readings as early as four days before ovulation. Your best case scenario is to start trying 4 days earlier and stop trying 3 days later.

Are you currently too alkaline (or not acidic enough) to conceive a girl?: The next thing I’d like to look at is your acidity. If you keep conceiving children, I’d be willing to bet that your vaginal PH tends to be alkaline. This is because male sperm cannot live well in an acidic environment (high PH), but can thrive in a low PH (an alkaline environment).

You can test this theory by getting PH test strips and seeing if this is true. If your PH is really too low, you can raise it by eating very acidic foods or taking showers depending on how low it really was. You can also combine both methods. Keep using the strips to see how you are doing and how long it is taking.

A low PH does not mean that there is something wrong with you or that you are doing something wrong. This is just an individual trait based on many factors. Fortunately, it can be changed easily and safely and will automatically return to its normal level once you stop your conception regimen.

Why you should avoid orgasm and deep penetration during intercourse: Going back to having a vaginal environment that is too alkaline, a female orgasm makes your vaginal tract more alkaline, and you don’t want this. So you’ll want to avoid orgasm (only when you’re trying to conceive). You’ll also want to focus on shallow penetration because deeper thrusting gives the Y sperm a slight advantage and is very easy to avoid.
