At my young age I was fascinated by the brilliance, the immensity, the scope and the allure of Astrology. I met a gentleman in his 20s who was proficient in astrology and he took me under his wing and taught me everything he knew. I consider him my teacher and teacher of astrology.

The two topics I showed tremendous interest in were Daily Planetary Horas (Hours) and Sarvashtaka Varga (Sanskrit word), a mathematical genius of Indian astrology. He tirelessly taught me the ins and outs of these wonderful branches of Astrology. For over 40 years I have used both.

He taught me to calculate the date and time of birth of anyone with his thumb. Every time he did this, it was accurate to the minute and it was verified. This was beyond me and I couldn’t do it. I limited my research to my two favorites listed above.

Simply put the 7 primary planets SUN, MOON, MARS, MERCURY, JUPITER, VENUS AND SATURN rule every hour of the day in a cyclical order, every day and forever and influence our daily lives in significant ways.

This idea and this time management system have been used for centuries. The Chaldeans were the first to popularize this magnificent system. For a long time, only 7 planets have been recognized and in use. They are SUN, MOON, MARS, MERCURY, JUPITER, VENUS and SATURN. It has been established after research that these 7 planets influence our daily life.

This makes perfect sense. It is not surprising, since time immemorial the human being has used 7 days in a week (SUNDAY, MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY). These 7 planets and 7 days are intertwined. This perfectly explains why these 7 primary planets have a tremendous influence on our daily lives and all of our lives.

It is worth mentioning here that number 7 has a spiritual, magical and mystical meaning. 7 planets, 7 musical notes, 7 chakras in yoga practice, 7 days of the week, 7 continents, etc.

The daily planetary hours (hours) system is easy to understand, use, and benefit from. Is that how it works:

Every Monday begins and is governed by the Hour of the Moon (Hora) at sunrise. All the second hours of Mondays are ruled by Saturn, all the third hours (Hour) are ruled by Jupiter. All 4 hours (Hours) are ruled by Mars, all 5 hours are ruled by Sun, all 6 hours are ruled by Venus and all 7 hours are ruled by Mercury. After completing the seventh hour, the first cycle, the lunar hours begin the second cycle and govern the eighth hours. The same cycle repeats itself forever. Luna again begins and rules the 15th hour on Modays. Moon starts again and governs 22 hours on Mondays. The 23rd hour will be ruled by Saturn, the 24th hour ends with Jupiter. The next hour in the cycle will be that of Mars at sunrise every Tuesday.

Every Tuesday begins and is ruled by Mars at sunrise. You will follow the same cycle, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, Moon, Saturn and Jupiter. This cycle repeats itself over and over again forever. For your information, an hour is not exactly 60 minutes. This time system is based on precise sunrise and sunset times. These times vary daily and seasonally and therefore 24 hours are slightly different in length with the calendar 24 hours being 60 minutes long per hour.

Once we identify which are our beneficent planets and which are our enemy planets, we can use those hours accordingly to improve results in whatever we are doing. That is the central theme of the daily planetary hours. Once we learn this simple art, unlocking the treasure, the system works like magic.
