Traveling by any means can be exciting, depending on a person’s mood. To lessen the stress of his trip, a person needs to think about the future. A good start would be to start packing at least two weeks before your departure. Some people start packing a month before they travel!

You need to think about everything you would need to take on your trip, making sure you don’t overpack! You know, the things that you only temporarily involve if only for a moment? That would be like taking your medication, what about taking care of your personal effects, such as shaving or depilatory cream (if you prefer). Hair tools, curling irons or rollers, scarves to tie your hair up at night, if desired. Be aware of what you can take on a plane, liquids need to be measured, 0.3 oz. These rules should be consulted in your flight information.

Are you going to dress up for the next Captain’s Dinner? Oh wait! Depending on how long you will be sailing, you may need a more formal outfit set. On a five-day cruise, you only need one form of formal attire. Do you plan to be away for longer? A seven-day cruise may require two nights of formal dining, while on a three-week cruise you may need to dress up three or more times. The first night would be a dinner with the captain. Dining with the Captain is a great honor.

Maybe you’re not interested in all that fanfare. There are other restaurants that you can enjoy. There may be an international restaurant, or any of the specialty restaurants throughout the ship. There are also informal dining rooms, such as buffets. Whatever suits your taste!

Did you know that there is a spa treatment area right there on the ship? It is usually on the highest floor. If you look at the boats. there are a lot of levels. At least 13 floors! The Spa treatment area is usually on the 9th floor. There is so much to see! Yes, they have little shops that sell jewelry; clothes and other little trinkets and souvenirs for you to buy if you wish.

In addition, there is also a play area for adults who like to have fun gambling. If you’re adventurous enough to play and win, you can cash out your winnings up to one day before your cruise adventure ends. There’s also a karaoke bar where people can sing like they just won an Oscar, somewhere!

Let’s go back to the spa center. A passenger can receive a facial; mani/pedi (Manicure/Pedicure); and there is also a beauty salon. Then there is an option for a full body treatment which could take a few hours. This is a good time to pass the time on days when the ship is sailing to a planned destination.

How about family time, where there are performances for kids and adults alike? Do you like comedy? What about the plays? There is so much to do that it is difficult to do it all, unless you are that traveler who can plan things perfectly, strictly following the schedule you have assigned for your vacation.

Every day when you wake up, you get dressed and look forward to your adventure on the boat. Each cabin or suite has a butler who attends to your every need, making sure your bed is made, the room is clean, and leaves a towel animal on your bed. After being away for a while, you may be tired and want to take a break to immerse yourself in the moment of your surroundings, realizing that you really are where you are!

A well thought out vacation can be great if things turn out to be a success, but what about those moments that don’t go so well? For a person who refuses to find fault with his vacation, he will always have a follow-up in case things go wrong. When you return home as a traveler, you will reflect on your cruise and say, “Wow! That was fun! I want to do it again!” Or you can be the one who could have had more fun, saying, “Next time, I’ll do it differently.” With a look of disappointment on your face.

I find it hard to believe that ANYONE would go on a cruise and say they had a bad time. One footnote to keep in mind is that the ship is on a tight schedule. There is an itinerary that they follow. Remember when I mentioned people who are very strict about keeping to their schedule so they can squeeze in as much activity as they can? This cruise schedule would probably work perfectly for that person! These aren’t the best instructions for a smooth cruise, but it’s a start!
