Stuck in your MLM business? Isn’t it noticeable? There is only ONE way to get noticed in this industry and that is through your own brand. Private branding (and the entire “You, Inc.” business model) will take your MLM business to a whole new level if done right. This could mean the difference between 5 leads coming in per month and 50 (or more) leads coming in PER DAY.

Own brand websites vs. Replicated websites

Let’s say you joined this great MLM company and you are very excited. You pay the registration fee, get your little distributor kit, and get ready for autoship. The products are great, the sales pages are great, and you’re good to go! So you set up your little replicated company website and start promoting like a beast.

Your site begins to receive visitors. And the sales page is great, so it generates A LOT of interest. But, because people don’t usually buy something the first time they see it, these people decide to go online and do some research about your company. So they go to Google, type in the company name, click search, and guess what happens next? If I’ve done my homework right and applied the right private branding principles, my personal website (or an article directed at my personal website) will be on the first page of Google. And I can guarantee you these things about my site:

  • My site is not a replicated company site;
  • My site has my name plastered all over it;
  • My site has very useful information that these people can really use; and
  • My site has free training tools that anyone can sign up for.

My site starts building a relationship the moment someone gets there. And the best thing about it is that I don’t even have to be a distributor of your company to take your business. I just do some kind of business review of your company and put it on the first page of Google to get your attention. This is what private branding is all about: marketing YOURSELF as someone who can BRING VALUE to others. Ok, so who do you think the business will ultimately go to after the investigation is done? I trust myself because this is how private labeling works through inbound marketing. You, Inc. are what you need to promote, not your business. Business will come later (virtually guaranteed) if you offer something of value and actually help people.

own brand test

Go online and research every major leader in this industry and you will see that they have their own site under their own names. And I can guarantee you that they are racking up leads. They didn’t get there by using the company’s replicated sites. They made a name for themselves. They stood out and positioned themselves as leaders. And as you position yourself as a leader, people will want to follow you. They will want some of what you have.

Your first deal today should be getting rid of your small replicated website. If you don’t start private-branding your business now, all your hard work will be wasted and will inevitably go to someone else. Trust me, there are plenty of people out there who are relying on that and waiting for those free tracks. Don’t abandon them!
