The benefits of rain

The separate drops of water that fall to the ground from the sky are known as rain. The temperature heats the water on the ground and the water turns into steam forming clouds. The drops come together and form clouds. The ice droplets or crystals, in the form of a cloud, become so heavy that the air cannot support them and they fall to the ground as rain. Rain can fall in small drops known as drizzle or it can fall in the form of hail, freezing rain, depending on the nature of the clouds and the temperature.

Rain can fall in different ways. Small drops or light rain are called drizzle. Children like to walk and play while it’s drizzling. Similarly, shower is rain that falls for a short period. When it is drizzling or raining in one place, the other nearby place may be sunny and cause a rainbow. Similarly, sudden heavy rain is known as downpour or downpour, which can lead to flash flood and can take people’s lives due to flooding in the stream or river. Sudden downpour with larger droplets is called cat and dog rain.

Since rain provides fresh water that makes rivers flow, fills lakes, and keeps plants alive, it is very important. We cannot imagine our life without water. On the other hand, the absence of rain, or very little rain, or a lot of rain, can have a very serious effect on the land influencing plant and animal life. The absence of rain brings drought, while a lot of rain causes landslides and floods. The rain cools the earth.
