Whether you are a frequent visitor to strip clubs or getting ready to go to your first one, there are some written and unwritten rules that you must follow. With the written rules, you don’t have many options. They vary from place to place, but you need to make it your business to know them. If you break one, you will be firmly told to refrain or you may be kicked out by a rather large and unfriendly goalkeeper. The unwritten rules are a bit different. You won’t (probably) be asked to leave for violating any of these, but you’ll have a worse time and you may be seen as a loser by staff and customers.

Pay attention to your friends

If you’re bringing some friends to strip clubs for the first time, make sure they have a good time. Don’t get so wrapped up in your entertainment that you forget about them. You may be old at this, but try to remember what your first trip to an adult entertainment establishment was like. It’s a lot to take in for a novice, so take it upon yourself to be their guide through what can be a wonderful journey. If you ask them to come over a few weeks later and they refuse, it could be because you didn’t give them a good time.

Be free with your advice

Yes, the dancers should be the main recipients of your tip money, but make sure you bring enough to take care of everyone. The bartenders, the towel guy in the bathroom, and even the DJ will thank you for remembering them in your tips. The same goes for the bartender if you order drinks directly from him. Of course, this doesn’t mean you should skimp on money when it comes to tipping dancers.

don’t be personal

This is a really hard rule for a lot of bosses to follow for some reason. Maybe it’s the atmosphere. Strip clubs satisfy a certain fantasy. You can’t just go to your local supermarket and expect that sexy girl in the produce section to start dancing for your pleasure. However, a girl twice as hot is doing exactly that on the street in the neon-lit venue. But she is working. And while she may “forget” about it for a while when she’s getting a lap dance, it’s important that she remember it on some level. Don’t start pressuring her to tell you her real name, or give you her phone number, etc. She doesn’t want to go out with you and you’re making her uncomfortable.
