There are many brands of airsoft guns on the market today. They range from low-priced plastic toys to high-priced metal weapons. One brand that has stood out above the rest is SRC air pistols. However, they are not as well known as they could be leaving a lot of people wondering if SRC is a good airsoft brand and should you buy it. The following article is going to answer that question for you.

The frontline weapon in the SRC lineup would be the Generation III, or Gen III for short. Gen III models use only the best materials in their construction. For example, the M4 is all metal except for the stock and pistol grip, which are strong nylon fiber. The AK-47 series is made of real wood and metal. These weapons are so well built that they look and feel like the real thing and are virtually indestructible.

Aside from their rugged construction, the SRC Gen III pistols really do take a step above the competition when it comes to gearbox internals. The way this gearbox is built stock, you won’t have to add any parts or upgrades to it to get top-notch performance. Let’s take a look at some of the internals that make this gearbox so cool!

For starters, the biggest factor would be the 8mm ball bearings and reinforced gearbox housing, which lay a solid foundation for reliability and performance. You can then move on to the steel gear set which can be used for a spring up to M140.

The piston is next and is made from a high strength polymer material so it is not only lightweight but strong as well. Attached to the piston, you’ll find an aluminum piston head that mates with an aluminum cylinder head, both of which have dual O-rings to increase air seal and firing range.

Attached to the stock is an O-ring air nozzle that will propel the BB down the narrow bore 6.04mm barrel. The M110 spring that is backed by a bearing aluminum spring guide will give you around 330 FPS out of the box. There is an M120 spring included in the box, but it will require installation and will give you around 380-400 FPS. Even at 330 FPS, the SRC gen III has a range of 175 to 200 feet due to the superior air seal and gearbox efficiency.

So as you can see SRC airsoft guns are a good brand with a lot of quality built in. So the bottom line is that if you want an airsoft gun that will give you great performance out of the box without spending money on upgrades, then the SRC Generation III series would be the right gun for you.
