Have you spent a small fortune and/or years of study on a wild goose chase to improve your lot in life only to find that little has changed? Finding all that time and money on books, seminars, and self-help programs had come to nothing! That can be a very depressing day and if it has happened to you, you have my sympathy.

I went through that experience several years ago and it took me months to accept the fact that after all the time, money and effort I wasn’t much better off than when I started. Like everything in life, it was a lesson that I had to learn. It taught me that every once in a while you have to get out of the rut of life and take a good look at where your life is or isn’t going, and reevaluate what you’re doing to get where you want to be.

If you realize that your life is going nowhere, that you’re on a treadmill and working hard but still ‘stuck’ in the same place, then it’s time you got off too. You have to re-evaluate and accept that what you have been doing is getting you nowhere; it’s going to hurt!

You have to ‘stop beating a dead horse’ and in order not to do it again you have to accept what has been holding you in place for so long. Looking back on my own experience and studies as I can almost guarantee you will find that “fear” is the main contributor to why you are stuck or why you are not progressing as you want. It will have many aspects but in the end it always comes down to fear.

– Fear of success
– Fear to fail
– Fear of debt
– Fear of ridicule
– Fear of not being good enough.

But how do you combat this fear? How do you get over it? Self-help books, etc. They will help you a lot and give you advice that is essential to know if you want to be everything you can be, but unfortunately they will not take away your fear. Sometimes you have to go through adversity to learn and that’s what I had to do but in the end I was lucky to find a technique for the fear that restricted me.

The beauty of this technique is that anyone can apply it to just about anything, and to my amazement (at least in my case), the results have been permanent. Finding the cure for the fear that’s holding you back is the key to getting the success you want, after all, that’s why it’s called ‘self-help’.
