Finally, Samsung has launched the long-awaited Galaxy Note II. This excellent smartphone has excellent video, gaming and reading capabilities. The improved display along with an accurate stylus pen has further enhanced the appeal of this phone. Samsung has once again delivered a powerful device that has almost everything in it. Spec-wise, this is Samsung’s highest-end phone. It is powered by a fast quad-core processor and has Android 4.1 Jelly bean operating system. Supports 4G LTE and HSPA+ networks.

With dimensions of 151 x 80.5 x 9.4 mm, this phone is much wider and taller than the flagship model. If you haven’t used the Galaxy Note before, you might find it a bit uncomfortable to hold the Note II to your ears while making or receiving calls, but carrying this phone isn’t a major problem.

Despite being a large phone, it is very light and comfortable to carry. This is largely due to the phone’s flexible plastic body. The nicely curved design along with the metal edge gives this device a good look and rugged feel. Samsung Galaxy Note II is available in three memory variants including 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. You can use a micro SDXC card to upgrade the device’s memory capacity.

The Note II’s 5.5-inch AMOLED screen is a beauty. Although the pixel resolution in this version is slightly lower than the original, this is compensated for as there are no sub-pixel arrays, making for a sharper display. Also, due to a large screen, you can easily read the text without zooming. Galaxy Note II can also work as an excellent e-book reader. Overall, a larger screen is a big plus for this great phone.

The sound quality of this gadget is excellent. Plus, you get a pair of in-ear headphones in the box. The improved S-Pen Stylus is definitely something you can’t miss on this phone. It comes with many additional features like autocorrect, art pack, etc. which makes using the stylus even easier. There are also other apps like Paper Artist, which allows you to edit photos or images using a stylus.

Galaxy Note II combines an 8 MP rear camera with a 1.9 MP front camera and gives you decent image quality. The camera app that is pre-installed on the device allows you to click photos in various modes.
