After a hard day at work, most of us can’t wait to get home and jump into the tub to relax. To enhance your bathroom experience, here are some luxury tips on how to make your master bathroom practically available.

Feel like you’re in a spa by choosing our extra large fluffy towels. Don’t be afraid to splurge, it will be worth it. For added effect, make sure they’re scented with your favorite aromatherapy oil, whether it’s vanilla or jasmine. A heated towel rail would be awesome for those cold winter nights. You almost feel like a loved baby wrapped in protective swaddling clothes. Keep a fluffy spa robe handy to wear once you’ve toweled off. If you get one made of extra soft and fluffy Egyptian cotton, you’ll never want to take it off. Color coordinate all of your towels, hand towels, robes, wash cloths, and all other linens

Marble floors are great for your bathroom floor. Lay out a soft rug to walk on while you’re out of the bathroom. Area rugs add color and texture to your bathroom. These change the focus in a room so you don’t have to repaint or resurface the walls. You won’t have to completely remodel either, but you’ll still have that personal touch and style featured in your master bath. The rugs can be of fashionable wool or of the traditional oriental design. Turn your master bathroom into a spa or oasis with luxurious, thick, hand-tufted or hand-hooked, high pile wool rugs. A large 5×8 rug would be best for your spacious open plan master bathroom. Get an area rug that will complement your personality and complete bathroom style as well. You can opt for floral or garden motifs.

Install a built-in TV on the wall in front of the bathtub and watch your favorite classic movies in your bathroom. A phone next to your bathtub means you don’t have to get up, interrupt your bath, and get cold again just to go get the phone. Have a CD player that produces soft tunes. This would be perfect if you were drinking wine in your bubble bath…a scene straight out of a movie. But remember not to place any electronic devices too close to your bathroom for your safety.

Adding plants to any room instantly creates a serene environment that calms the nerves. Get some fresh cut white roses and place them in a vase next to the tub where you can look at them while you soak. Use scented candles, bath oils, and salts to complete your aromatherapy regimen. Once you finish your bath you will feel completely energized. Or paint the walls or use tiles in calming colors and tones. Splurge on detailed vanity mirrors, towel bars and tissue holders in brass or chrome to complete the luxurious effect.

It is advisable to decorate the main bathroom in a similar style to the main bedroom to create cohesion when moving from one room to another.
