Now, if you all remember the Yamaguchi championships, you may have seen Natto’s fourth place deck.

It was mostly Falcon control with a lot of added control.
How?

Let me borrow the list for this blog post and break it down for your readers =D
Taken from Shriek’s Yamaguchi Championship Top 4

User: Natto
Cover: Haniwa

Monsters- 14
3 Falcon of the Misty Valley
2 Thunder Raou
2 lacquered
2 Jurak Deino
2 dining snowmen
1 BF – Scabies
1 switch
1 jar of transformation

Now we see the lineup of 14 Monsters and notice that there are 3 different Monsters that serve as drawing engines:

2 Des Lacooda – If kept on the field for a long time, it will serve as a great setup for hole cards.

Morphing Jar: A 1 time use unless cards like Book of the Moon are used in the deck, massively replenishes the hand.

2 Jurak Deino: While an unlikely pick, this card is also a level 3 tuner, and that makes up for the lack of tuners in the deck.

But we also note the existence of these letters: to acquire the Falcon through the draw

Falcon of the Misty Valley

wind winged beast level 4
2000 ATK/ 1200 DEF

Effect: This card cannot declare an attack unless you return 1 card you control to its owner’s hand.

This card has a lot of combos in the deck, we will soon see which cards work with it. It’s also along the lines of “2000 ATK Monsters that need you to do something for them to attack”, aka Dark Elf and Panther Warrior!

Hawk Targets for Monster Lineup: Breaker and Snowman eater! =D

Spells -8
3 Book of the Moon
two-dimensional crack
1 big bang shot
1 STD
1 Giant Trunada

Big bang shot is a card that combines with Falcon, so its execution at 1 in the main deck could be due to the user’s choice.

big bang shot
Equip spell card
Effect: The equipped monster gains 400 ATK. When the equipped monster attacks a Defense Position monster whose DEF is less than the equipped monster’s ATK, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. When this card is removed from the field, the equipped monster is removed from play.

Do you see the combo?

Equip Big Bang’s shot to the Opponent’s Monster.

Use Falcon’s effect to declare an attack.

Returns the shot to the hand.

The opponent’s monster is removed from the game!

The dimensional gaps here are questionable, but I’m guessing it’s for fighting decks like Lightsworn or Infernities during the tournament.

about the traps

Traps-18
3 Demons Chain (Devil Chain in TCG.)
2 dark bribe
2 Mandatory evacuation device
2 Bottomless Trap Hole
2 Seven tools of the bandit
2 royal oppression
1 starlight trail
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Scrap Metal Scarecrow
1 call from the haunted
1 mirror force

Demon’s chain……..Stops many powerful monsters like Judgment Dragon and Dark Armed dragon, and prevents them from attacking.

The reason it was executed here is that Falcon can return it to the hand and reuse it on the next turn!

Scrap Iron is inside to protect the respective drawing engines: Morphing jar and Des Lacooda and maybe even Deino.

Dark Bribe and seven tools to counter the Opponent’s efforts to break the Falcon’s control.

Starlight road to protect backrow seeing as there is a lot in this type of deck.

Royal Oppression can be executed because Falcon just takes it back!

Falcon can bounce Spell and Trap cards and this allows you to do a wide variety of combos with Chain and Bang Shot!

Let’s take a look at the side cover, shall we?

Side cover – 15
3 holy lights
2DD Raven
1 switch
1 hat
1 flat crush
2 My body as a shield
2 emergency supplies
2 dust tornado
1 trap

Holy Light and DD Crow – to combat Infernities

Many of the options for the side deck make sense, although Gorz looks odd with the entire back row, unless emergency supplies are also included!

Overall, this deck is pretty good! Congratulations to its creator!

Hmmm, now let me try =D

Monsters-15
3 falcons
3 Raou
3 switches
2 lacquered
2 snowman eater
1 BF-Scabies
1 jar of transformation

Spells -8
2 Book of the Moon
2 crushing ground
2 takes of Big Bang
1 STD
1 reveal lightsabers

Traps-17
2 demon chain
2 bottomless traps
2 dark bribe
2 Mandatory evacuation device
2 seven tools of the bandit
2 scrap scarecrows
2 Way to the light of the stars
1 mirror strength
1 royal oppression
1 Solemn Judgment

Here we go! =D
