IFSC codes of all Indian banks required for PayPal NEFT

The RBI assigns the Indian Financial System Code (IFSC) codes to all banks in India. The Indian financial system code is used as the address code. The code is an 11-digit alphanumeric code with the initial four characters representing the bank code, the next character is a control character, and the remaining characters are to identify the Branch.

There are two methods to verify PayPal account. The first method is by linking your bank account and the second method is by linking your credit or debit cards. It is totally up to the user on which method he should choose.

Steps to verify PayPal account without using credit/debit cards:

• On your account page, click “get verified”
• Select the option “link to my bank account”
• Enter your bank account details and click start process to confirm bank account and get verified

PayPal will now make two small deposits into your bank account. Check your bank transaction details after 4-5 days and enter the amount deposited by PayPal on the verification page. Now you have verified your PayPal account, but the problem with most of the Indian PayPal users trying to verify their respective PayPal accounts using the “link my bank account” method is entering the IFSC code for their bank. The code can be easily downloaded from the Reserve Bank of India website or downloaded directly from an alternative location. The codes will be in Microsoft Excel format. You can download the entire database or select your bank from the list.
