The Intelligence Bureau syllabus is available at the official website link for download. Candidates sitting for the IB exam can refer to the IB syllabus and also the IB exam pattern. This notice is posted for efficient candidates for MHA recruitment in PA (Personal Assistant) Group-B positions in Intelligence Bureau of Government of India. There are vacant positions and the following are required:

Candidates who have 10 + 2 or intermediate or 12 or some equivalent from a recognized institute.

Eligible candidates can apply online for these Central Government jobs.

Aspirants applying for MHA recruitment can search online for the IB PA exam pattern. The IB PA Syllabus pdf is available for download on the official website. Candidates can refer to the official website for the MHA Intelligence Bureau personal assistant syllabus which also features the exam pattern.

The IB stands for Intelligence Bureau. It is the oldest intelligence agency in the world. It is the Internal Agency of India formed in the year 1887. The IB headquarters is located in New Delhi, India. The Intelligence Office is directly under the control of the Ministry of the Interior.

Every year the IB publishes recruitment notices for candidates for various positions in the Department of Intelligence. However, candidates are selected based on their performance in the written test and the interview. Eligible applicants who are interested in filling positions in the police department or central government can apply for these positions through the online mode after the posting of the notice.

IB PA (Personal Assistant) Exam Pattern

Objective document on general awareness, reasoning and numerical ability 80 questions for 80 points.

Written exam of 70 points. This includes:

Write an essay in English/Hindi in 300 words. There will be 4 themes and you can choose one. This is for 25 frames.

Comprehension in English/Hindi for 15 points.

English/Hindi test on synonyms, antonyms, language, one word substitution for 30 points

Both the objective and the written exam last 2 hours.

This is followed by a shorthand skills test, in which shorthand in English or Hindi at 100 words per minute is expected. This is the following:

Dictation for 10 minutes at a speed of 100 words per minute.

Computer shorthand transcription as a test of ability, where 40 minutes are given for English transcription while 55 minutes are given for Hindi transcription.

Total time for both dictation and computer transcription is 50 minutes.

Selection process

Candidates who achieve a specific level with the written test are advised to take the skill test. The time, date and time of the skill test will be communicated online to said candidates. Admission cards can be downloaded online.

Upon successful completion of both, the written and ability test, character test, background check, and medical exam follows.
