You can start your own business as an appliance installer, be your own boss and earn a lot of money in this field. Many homeowners buy new appliances all the time. Many of them don’t know how to install them themselves. When a new homeowner buys a new home, they typically like to install newer refrigerators, ovens, microwaves, range hoods, dishwashers, and more.

Sometimes an investor will buy a house, fix it up, and then resell it. Typically, they will purchase new appliances at an appliance, electronics, or home improvement store. The store that sold the items may just drop them off. They still need to be hooked up and working properly, and you know that if someone from the home improvement store comes to hook them up, you’re going to pay the most money.

You can come up with a flyer, saying that you install household appliances for such and such a price. You can charge a set price for each appliance, and if you plug in more than one, you can offer them a discount for plugging in more than one while you’re already there. You can network and send these flyers to real estate agents, real estate investors, in your area. You can drive by and leave one of your fliers at every house that has a For Sale sign in the front yard, because whoever the new owner is, they may want to install new appliances.

You can also drive to houses you see under construction, as they will soon have new appliances that need to be hooked up. You can also place a small ad in your local newspaper announcing that you plug in major appliances.
