So if you want to update your beach house bathroom, or maybe you want to bring the beach feeling home in any way, this is a great idea. Several different ideas can accomplish this task, but here is one that is sure to keep you in the mood for sand and sun! Relaxing in this oasis will keep you guessing how far away your favorite relaxing beach bar is.

This outdated dark bathroom and powder room combo needed a major overhaul of course! From the oversized garden tub, to the small enclosed shower, to the outdated wallpaper, there was definitely room for improvement.

The plan was to move the shower from the current location to the garden tub area to give the client plenty of space. The incorporation of a full bench seat along the largest wall, just below the massive window, which was left out to maintain the source of natural light. Adding not one but two large alcoves within the shower for essentials, one complete with recessed LED lighting was just what was needed. Swapping out the existing overhead light for an LED recessed light also complimented the spacious new shower.

The installation of a flat rock on the shower floor accompanied by a 12 x 24 tile installed in a vertical pattern on these massive shower walls gave the illusion of more space. The granite seat top, along with the matching niche and curb top, create a very clean look. The frameless glass shower panel sitting above the knee wall of a tree foot trimmed with metal trim also gave a crisp clean finish to a stunning shower.

Bringing a boardwalk feel to this bathroom with a wood-look 6×36 plank washed gray tile certainly proved effective with our beach-themed design. The horizontal lap wall also incorporated the look of an exterior fence complete with boat slips for towel hooks. Finishing off this part of the renovation with a blue/grey paint turned out to be a wise move.

Continuing the floor into the vanity area once again gave a more spacious feel to this bathroom vanity combination. The clients’ decision to continue with the same choice of granite for the vanity top while keeping the plumbing fixtures in chrome tones really complemented the already beautiful renovation.

Finishing off this transformation with custom powder room and pantry paired with custom made pendant mirrors, over head bed with LED vanity lights. The undermount sinks and toe-top cabinet LED lighting proved to be customer favorites.

Happy renovation everyone!
