Five steps to wealth

Wealth includes money, but it is also broader than just money. Wealth is a flow of good things in your life. Here are five steps to help you achieve wealth in your life.

Step 1: Make people happy

When I say make people happy I don’t mean living your life for others. This would not make you happy because you would not be developing your own purpose. What I mean by making people happy has two parts. First, you need to provide a product or service that makes the users of that product or service happy, and second, act friendly to others.

The provision of the product or service may be accomplished in your own business or through work you choose to do as an employee. However, if you want to acquire wealth, you are much more likely to do so through your own business than as an employee.

Acting friendly towards others will result in people acting friendly towards you. You will experience the abundance of good feelings.

Step 2 – Solve the Problems People Want Solved

Most people have problems that they don’t know how to solve. These problems can be physical or emotional. If you can provide solutions for those problems, then you have one of the ingredients for wealth.

When small businesses and people in their homes first started using computers, they were difficult to use. Microsoft solved this problem by presenting Windows as an easy-to-use interface. Microsoft didn’t invent windows, they bought them from Xerox. However, Microsoft was the one who provided that software as a solution and therefore it was the company that reaped the profits.

Step 3: Promote the spread of your happiness and problem solving

Making people happy and solving their problems can make you popular with them and give you the “feel good” side of wealth, but it won’t give you wealth unless you market it.

Inventors of useful products don’t always get rich off those products. To turn inventions into riches you have to market the product to the masses. The same goes for spreading happiness and solving problems. Unless you become adept at marketing what you’re doing, very few people will even know you’re doing it.

Marketing is the activity that takes your products and services from the small local word-of-mouth market and spreads the message to a much larger market, potentially the entire world.

Step 4 – Take Advantage of Spreading Your Happiness and Solving Problems

Microsoft solved the problem of hard-to-use PCs by marketing Windows and took advantage of Windows by providing a variety of other software packages that worked in that environment. Now, almost everyone who buys Windows also buys Word, Excel, Outlook, and many other Microsoft products.

For your happiness to spread and problem solving to bring you maximum wealth, you need to ask yourself how you can harness them for higher profits.

Step 5: Open your heart to receive the rewards

If you don’t accept the concept of receiving rewards in exchange for the happiness and problem solving you’re giving, then you won’t receive any rewards. You may earn money, but your expenses will equal or exceed your income.

You have to let your subconscious mind know that receiving rewards is a good thing. If someone offers to do something for you, then accept the offer. If an opportunity presents itself to you, seize the opportunity. If someone gives you good advice, follow the advice. If you get useful knowledge, then apply it.

Summary

Wealth will come into your life when you spread happiness in the lives of many other people, when you solve the problems of many other people, and when you market those products and services commercially and take advantage of them in the most effective way possible. As long as you do this and stay open to receiving the rewards, the rewards will come.
