After a long day in class, I decided to take a walk around town trying out fast food places so I could grab a snack. Walking through most fast food restaurants, I realized that they all serve the same foods but at different prices. These foods include pizza.

Pizza is a puff pastry box that is flattened and then filled with beef, chicken, vegetables, or cheese. The topping is completely up to you, the best pizzerias in the city include steers in Nairobi and roosters. when you are in mombasa and have a hankering for pizza i highly recommend ilcovo restaurant situated on the north shore.

In Mombasa we have a local pizza known as Mombasa pizza. This pizza is normally shallow fried.

A very popular fast food in Kenya is French fries and chicken. French fries are made from peeled potatoes that are cut into strips and then deep-fried in fat. The chicken is always grilled and when topped with the tomato ketchup, lunch is very much done. French fries can also be served with sausages.

Sandwiches are also fast food. A sandwich is made of bread and can be filled with beef, chicken, vegetables, or a fruit such as an avocado. For the best veggie and fruit sandwich, it’s best served plain.

You’re wondering what to take with fries: think samosa. It is made of puff pastry that is filled with beef, chicken, or vegetables, after which it is deep-fried. Best served hot. When you’re in Mombasa, I highly recommend inland dishes for fresh samosa.

When your stomach needs food in a moment, we forget to watch what goes into our mouth and we order a hamburger. Burgers are made of bread that is stuffed with beef, chicken, or vegetables. The standard weight of the meat in the hamburger is 180 g. It is also eaten on its own or served with chips, making it a junk food recipe.

Have you ever been to an Indian or seaside restaurant, what you get for fast food is chicken tikka. It is basically chicken that is marinated with spices and then roasted in a special oven found in these restaurants. It is served alone or with French fries.

To maintain a healthy lifestyle I recommend fruit salads. They are also available at some select fast foods. They are made of assorted fruits cut into cubes and then mixed together. They taste best when served cold.

Shakes are also useful in fast food restaurants. They are made by blending fruits and then adding milk and yogurt. very nutritious
