The way the destiny card system works is quite magical in many ways. First, instead of months, the year is divided into seven planetary periods, each of 52 days. They start on your birthday every year. On your birthday, each year the Mercury period begins, which lasts 52 days. The complete sequence is as follows:

Mercury – starts on your birthday, lasts 52 days Venus – lasts 52 days Mars – lasts 52 days Jupiter – lasts 52 days Saturn – lasts 52 days Uranus – lasts 52 days Neptune – starts 52 days before your next birthday

The dates each of these periods begins can be calculated by simply adding 52 days to your birthday, and so on. For example, for someone born on December 5, the dates would be

Mercury – December 5 Venus – January 27 Mars – March 20 Jupiter – May 11 Saturn – July 2 Uranus – August 23 Neptune – October 14

These periods begin and end on the same dates, except in leap years for a small number of birthdays.

In each of these periods there are usually two charts (Neptune often has only one). These cards are not selected by you. They are calculated from the day of your birth. Therefore, these cards and the others in their “annual distribution”, as we call it, are all fixed from the moment of their birth. The two cards in each period, we call them planetary period cards, govern these 52-day periods and tell you what will happen and often who it will happen with. For example, someone who like a 4 of hearts and a jack of diamonds in their Venus period could marry (4 of hearts) a young Diamond (Jack of diamonds). And often, the charts that appear in our planetary periods are the same birth charts of people we know, which assures us that they will be the ones we will interact with at that time. Sometimes it is amazing how amazingly this can work. I remember when I took my first card class I realized that I had an A of Hearts with a 2 of Clubs on Venus, right at that moment. Well, Catherine Oxenberg, a famous actress whose Birth Card is a 2 of Clubs, was another student present in that class. And the A of hearts represented my strong attraction to her. I was stunned when I found out that, and a little embarrassed, thinking that she would know my secret.

These planetary period cards are important for understanding what happens during these 52-day time periods and are useful for making future predictions. But there are five other cards in the yearly margin that are actually much more powerful than these. We call these the Influence Charts for the whole year.

Letters of influence throughout the year

These five cards are the most powerful of all. Actually, the people in the special family of seven that we discussed in our last lesson only have three of these. But in any case, these are the cards to look for first when making some sort of determination about what a year holds. The five cards are: The long-range card The Pluto card The result card The Environment card The Displacement card

The last two are the ones that the special family of seven does not have. It’s a bit hard to explain why right now. Just put it down to their fixed natures for now. We will talk a bit about each of these letters now.

The long-range card is the most important of all. I call the main card of the year. Basically, you are targeting something, or in some cases someone, who will be the most important head of your attention in a given year. I can often scan the Long Range Cards looking for someone and see how their future will unfold over a period of years. It is quite fascinating. But whenever I read cards on my weekly radio show, the first place I look is the caller’s long-range card. Usually it will tell me everything I need to know. It is that important. In addition, you have another long-range Card that is in the annual margin of your Planetary Government Card, which does not appear in these free applications. When you want to get the full picture of the year, you’ll want to know both. I remember when I appeared on the Marilu Henner show several years ago. She was studying her sheets and looking for cards that represented the birth of her newborn son. There were no birth cards present. However, his birth card was his far-reaching card! When I pointed this out to him, his skepticism turned to surprise and amazement.

The Pluto card and the result card are related. As we begin each year, both of them, when their meanings are combined, tell you what challenges you will face this year. Sometimes these are cards from people you know or will meet. They usually represent something you want that you don’t have as you start your year. When this happens, they are an important target. Other times, these cards represent changes that you have been ignoring, but are necessary. We used to call these challenge cards. The good news is that every year you are guaranteed to make these changes and the reward is your Scorecard, which is always interpreted in a positive way. Sometimes it represents a quality that you will possess and in some cases a person. I remember predicting the birth of my second son Michael because that year I had the King of Hearts, called the father card, as my Scorecard. That’s how easy and amazing this system is.

The Environment Card is always a blessing card that gives us gifts for the current year. It can also be a person, or it can be a money card, a movement card, or a love card. Whatever it is each year, it will be something that will help you. Wouldn’t you like to know which one is yours?

The scroll card is equally important. It’s a ‘location’ card, although it’s a bit difficult to explain in an introductory article like this one. What he usually does is point out the main years of success, fame, recognition, reward or, in some rare cases, caution. Some of the most important cycles of our life are announced by our Scroll Card.

Your birth card has an annual distribution and so does your planetary government card. So for most people, this means you have two spreads to review each year. With so many destination cards, you have extensive information about all the months of the year and the year in a general sense. This all probably sounds a bit complicated. However, I guarantee you can learn this in an hour or less. Imagine, you spend an hour of your time learning a tool that you can use for the rest of your life. I have business clients who spend thousands of dollars to have me examine their annual margins to help them make business decisions.
