Carb Cycling is a great way to lose the fat content in your body, and you will look and feel good after completing several cycles of the diet. However, there are some side effects that are quite unpleasant, which you really need to know about before going on this diet.

When you’re burning fat, this process is called ketosis, and it’s a natural occurrence for your body when it’s in fat-burning mode. However, as good as it is, you have to be prepared for some very unpleasant side effect that could make things a little less pleasant.

The main side effect is an increase in acetone in the mouth, which causes very unpleasant, sometimes quite unbearable bad breath. However, you can brush your teeth with baking soda to try to counteract these effects. However, they will come back while you are going through ketosis.

The following list of side effects does not affect everyone, however, it does not mean that it will not affect you:

– 41% will experience constipation (increase your fiber intake if this happens)

– 47% will experience hypoglycemia, which also has the side effects of irritability, rapid heartbeat, sweating, shaking, hunger, and some pretty painful headaches.

– 16% will lose their appetite (this is a pretty good thing, because after all you are trying to lose weight)

– 8% will have elevated levels of uric acid in the urine. (drink more water, eat a lot more vegetables and eat less acidic foods) (this can also make your urine smell very bad)

As you can see, these aren’t exactly pleasant side effects. But if you follow those countermeasures, I’m sure you’ll get through your cyclical carb diet without so much trouble.
