The dresser, mirror, and dressing table play an important role in a person’s typical daily routine, which includes grooming and preparing for the day’s events. Therefore, the choice of this furniture becomes very important and should reflect the needs and lifestyle of the individual.

dressing tables

Dressers come in different sizes and contain drawers that can hold clothing, jewelry, accessories, and other personal items. Some dressers come with a mirror, however they can also be purchased separately. Typical types of dressers are the single dresser, double dresser, drawer dresser, and door dresser:

– Single chest of drawers: contains a column of drawers
– Double chest of drawers: contains two columns of drawers
– Chest of drawers: a chest of drawers made up of all the drawers
– Door dresser: contains one or two doors that open to reveal a cabinet area with or without shelves

Mirrors

There are four main types of bedroom mirrors: the full-length vanity mirror; full length horse mirror; single mirror; and the triple mirror:

– Full Length Vanity Mirror – Often attached to a wall, the back of a door, or the inside of a cabinet or cupboard door. They can also be mounted on a stationary stand, allowing you to physically reposition the mirror where needed. However, the angle of the mirror cannot be changed like with a horse mirror.

– Full Length Horse Mirror: A freestanding mirror that attaches to a hinged frame, allowing the user to rotate or tilt the mirror to better see themselves. The tabletop version of the horse mirror is a popular accent piece for the top of a dresser or dresser.

– Simple mirror: typically mounted on the wall above the chest of drawers. It can also be attached to the dresser itself, either on its back or on the table.

– Triple mirror (tri-view mirror): it has three sections, the main mirror in the middle and two adjustable mirrors on each side. The user can position the two movable sections to view the face in profile or the back of the head. The tri-fold mirror is usually attached to the dresser, but can sometimes be found attached to the wall by the center section.

vanities

There are two types of vanities: a bedroom vanity and a bathroom vanity. We will talk about bedroom vanities in this section. A bedroom dresser serves as a place to organize your toiletries and other beauty products. It is also a place to put on or remove make-up, do your hair or perform your morning and night beauty routine. A bedroom dresser usually consists of an adjustable mirror, regular, lined drawers, and a stool or chair to sit on.

While adding to the bedroom décor, dressers, mirrors, and dressers play a critical role in preparing for the events of the day and night. Therefore, keep your lifestyle and needs in mind when choosing this furniture.
