Our Founding Fathers seemed to have a vision for this nation and created a document, known as the Constitution of the United States, to clearly spell out, describe, and define something they were referring to as our inalienable rights! The key to this concept is, it is believed, that no law should be created that violates the rights of human beings, should have a reasonable expectation, to have, etc.! As we have evolved (or, some believe, have not) as a nation, politics (especially partisan) have, at times, and certain politicians, put their personal/political agenda and/or self-interest ahead of our own. reasonable expectations, of having, all these rights guaranteed! With that in mind, this article will briefly attempt to consider, examine, review, and discuss 5 things every American should be entitled to, expect/anticipate, and demand.

one. Climate change and environment: While the Founding Fathers could not have foreseen climate and environmental challenges and considerations, we realize that quality of life for future generations depends on providing acute and timely care, sooner rather than later! Climate Change: Deniers often downplay the seriousness and potential long-term, and even intermediate, harm of ignoring climate issues. We must focus on maintaining a quality environment, especially when it comes to clean air and water! Doesn’t the human race deserve anything less?

two. Public health: This recent horrible pandemic has exposed the need to ensure the best, in all areas, related to public health! Unfortunately, many believe that the previous President of the United States proceeded without being properly prepared and without addressing and prioritizing public health issues.

3. Healthcare and medical treatment: Shouldn’t everyone have the right to quality health care and medical treatment, regardless of their ability to pay? Why is this, the only nation, in the free world, not protecting affordability and access to this essential human right/need? Quality, affordability, etc., of medical treatment and prescription drugs are needed for each human being to receive the degree of care that he should deserve and expect.

Four. Justice, freedom, rights: While some wish to deny/gloss over it, systemic racism exists in far too many aspects of American life/society. If we do not protect our justice system, so that our freedoms and rights are preserved and protected, regardless of the selective wishes of anyone, we harm essential freedoms, guaranteed by our Constitution, etc.

5. Public security: Every American should feel safe living in this nation, regardless of race, etc! We must demand that everything related to guaranteeing, preserving and improving citizen security be an absolute priority!

Our way of life will only remain relevant and sustainable if we help it evolve for today’s needs and requirements! Wake up, America, and demand better and more!
