Combine tomatillos, garlic, onion, poblano peppers, and canola oil in a bowl. Toss to coat. Cook on a preheated broiler for 10 to 12 minutes. Place the mixture in a blender or food processor. Add lemon juice, chicken broth, coriander, cornstarch, oregano, salt, and pepper to the blender. Cover and blend until smooth. Place the chicken thighs in a slow cooker and pour the green sauce over the chicken. Cook for 4 hours over low heat.
