You must start a business credit profile and qualify with initial vendors. Initial providers are those that will give you initial credit even if you have no credit, score, or business lines now.

Most stores like Staples will NOT give you initial startup credit, so DO NOT try to apply for it.

Here are some awesome startup vendor accounts to consider:

They will pull credit. If not approved, prepay for order and continue shopping and choosing “bill me” until approved for Net 30 account.

Place the initial order, then have your order invoiced or billed to your company. They will pull your credit.

If not approved, continue ordering and requesting to be billed or invoiced. The more orders you place, the higher your chances of approval for Net 30 terms.

At checkout, choose the “4 equal payments of $59.99” option and the first charge will be made in 30 days. You need bank account, EIN and delivery address and 30-60 days for reporting.

You may need to get some vendors that you won’t use often just to build your initial credit. DO NOT put your SSN on applications.

Remember to pay your bills EARLY, the key to a good score.

DO NOT start with store credit…you will be denied…wait until you have five accounts reported.

And DO NOT apply for cash credit until you have 10 reported accounts.
