San Francisco borders the Pacific Ocean and the San Francisco Bay. The city is a perfect vacation getaway. There are many famous places and attractions to see, such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Transamerica Pyramid, Coit Tower, and Chinatown. There are plenty of accommodation options, from the cheapest to the most luxurious.

If you like tapas (beef) and burritos that will make your mouth water, the Mission district is home to some of the best places to offer these delicacies. Taqueria Cancún and Farolito are unmissable restaurants.

The Transamerica pyramid
Transamerica Pyramid was conceptualized in 1968 when President John R. Beckett observed that natural light passed through the trees of the city and onto the streets. He then decided to build a pyramid-shaped building to produce the same lighting results at his headquarters. Several years later, Transamerica Pyramid is now a highly recognized landmark around the world. The unique structure claimed international recognition. This park is in the center of the Montgomery financial district, at 600 Montgomery Street, San Francisco, California. It is part of the Transamerica Center and covers almost a city block.

The Coit tower
Lillie Hitchcock Coit was a lady with an eccentric personality who supports local firefighters. In 1933, he used his funds to build the Coit Tower. He left a third of his wealth for the beautification of the city after his death.

Arthur Brown Jr. then took on the task of renovating the city’s magnificent tower, with a height of 63 m / 210 ft. He filled the interior of the cylindrical tower with murals. Most of these murals depict life in California during the Great Depression. A total of 25 painters worked on that project, including a port scene, a bank robbery and a look at a department store. These historic murals are largely preserved. At the top of the tower is a platform with a spectacular 360-degree view of San Francisco.

Chinatown
Some people would argue that New York’s Chinatown is the largest, but most still believe that San Francisco’s Chinatown is the largest outside of Asia.

Feel Hong Kong in this city. The residential areas and markets are clearly Chinese. Most restaurants are inexpensive. Visit medicinal herb shops, souvenir shops and historical sites. Parking in Chinatown can be a problem. Most tourists take public walks instead.
