One of the keys to proper internal search engine optimization and SEO marketing is placing your location within your website in the text. When optimizing a website for search engines, having unique page titles is a must and including your local information and geographic area will not only rank you higher but also give you more targeted visitors i.e. the customers you want. and can serve. If you are a landscaping company in Akron, Ohio, do you need web traffic from Miami, Florida? You wouldn’t get that traffic anyway. The point is that if you just title your pages and write content with no placement, it’s going to be much harder to rank high in Google because you’re basically competing with every company in your industry for your terms and you’ll be lucky to get a strong listing. only on keywords.

Local Results and Listings in Google and Directories

Google is smart, but help them out by telling them where you are on your website. A contact page is a great example. Most sites have a contact page, but many are not search engine optimized for local traffic. The main reason I see is that the sites will only have a lead form and an email, maybe a phone number. These forms are fine, but for a great local SEO listing, text your full address there. This is not only important for local or geographic search engine marketing to customers. What if a company wants to know where you are so they can align with you or have a business proposition? It will also show up in a lot more directories by having your address in the text (not just an image), which I see a lot too.

If you want to compete for keywords and beat your competitors on Google and other search engines, use your placement words wisely. Street, city for maps and local directory listings as well as good and smart search engine optimization and SEO marketing.

Writing local SEO strategies

Practice a few sentences and you will see what I mean. If you are a landscaping company in Lansing Michigan. Put Prestige Landscaping, Lansing Michigan – A Lansing lawn maintenance company. Does it read like good search engine optimization? This! there is less competition in search results for “Detroit Printing Company” vs. “Print company. Use the same strategy if you do pay-per-click programs and pay for keywords. Optimize and SEO for local search results and better geographic terms. You’ll see the difference!”
