“He says I’m too possessive.” If you’ve been saying this and aren’t worried about the state of your relationship, you should be. The moment a man tells a woman that she is too possessive is the moment that he is considering ending the relationship. Even though you may think it’s a sign of how much you adore him, he doesn’t. He sees it as a problem, a big problem.

For a man, a possessive woman is not attractive. The reasons are many, but it all depends on how he thinks you see yourself. A good example is if he tells you that he will be spending the night with his friends instead of with you. You get angry and tell him that if he loves you, he will spend that time with you. That makes perfect sense to you given the fact that you are a couple. To him, it feels like he thinks he’s on a very short leash that you control. He will feel suffocated and will see you as too dominant. If you do this even once, it will have an impact on how he feels about you.

It becomes even more problematic if they have friends or coworkers and you have a negative attitude towards them. Other women are a fact of life. They exist and your man will have to come into contact with them, talk to them and interact with them. This is how it is. If he takes a negative attitude every time he catches you talking to a woman or interrogates him with questions every day when he comes back from work, that will wear out very quickly. Not only will it upset him, but it will make him believe that you are doing it because you have no self-esteem. Jealousy is never an attractive quality and if it is a constant part of your personality, he will withdraw very quickly.

All men need their own interests and their own lives. If there is something your guy likes to do on the weekends or at night and you try to make him feel guilty about doing it instead of being with you, he will think again that it is a sign that you want to own him. Being in a balanced relationship means loving everything about the other person and letting them be who they are. If you try to monopolize all of your man’s time and attention, you are actually stealing his life and the person he is. This is a crucial relationship mistake that you just don’t want to make.
