I have written a series of articles on fun and affordable destinations and I have good news for you today … I let you in on “5 Bridal Getaway Vacations You Will Love”.

The first is one of my favorite places; Key West. Believe me when I tell you there is something for everyone in Key West. Getting to Key West is fairly easy from almost any city in the US From Miami you can take a bus, rent a car, and drive or fly. One of my favorite hotels is Sunset Key West Cottages. You will find yourself on a private island with all the amenities to make your visit relaxing and memorable. There are so many bed and breakfast hotels and inns to be found in Key West for virtually every budget. You’ll find plenty of nightlife along Duval Street and while you’re there, you can try the Ghost Walk tour. Search for “Key West hotel packages” and you will find something to fit every budget.

People say Texas is bigger and better, and judging by the wide variety of Texas destinations, past visitors may have a good point. My top three picks for a classy trip to Texas are … San Antonio, Austin, and Galveston. San Antonio has the famous River Walk and, of course, the Alamo. Nearby, it is an easy walk or a short taxi ride to La Villita; Boutiques with fantastic shops are housed in historic buildings from the 18th century. Hop aboard a river cruise along a cool, shady body of water. Both sides of the river are lined with restaurants and shops offering plenty of fun and unique Texas-style entertainment. San Antonio is an affordable destination with hotel prices starting at $ 120.

Austin is the capital of Texas, and along with many hot spots along 6th Street, a tour of the Governor’s Mansion is both educational and fun. The best view in town remains a secret, even to longtime Austin residents, and a great way to weather Mount Bonnell’s tourist bottleneck is to organize a two-hour boat trip on Capital Cruises in Town. Lake. These intimate little boats are the easiest way to watch the sunset, see Austin’s famous bats, and take in a beautiful view of the stunning Austin skyline. If you consider yourself a jazz lover, dine in the Elephant Room. Located in a basement on Congress Avenue, the Elephant Room enjoys a well-deserved reputation as one of the top-ranked jazz clubs in the nation. The evening shows at the Elephant Club provide a memorable moment, even if you don’t consider yourself a jazz fan.

Galveston Texas is in the enviable position of a real economic boom. You may want to book a 3-day Carnival cruise from the port of Galveston and then come back and see what the rest of Galveston has to offer for fun and relaxation. Plan your stay at the beautiful San Louis Hotel or if your friends are golfers, try the fantastic Moody Garden Public Golf Course. Seventeen million dollars later, this field just opened to the public in June 2008. The best facilities, including the new, expansive clubhouse, are generating rave reviews from everyone who plays there. It is worth your time!

Moody Garden’s also offers the unusual glass pyramids that are home to a real rainforest and aquarium. This massive resort overlooks Offatt’s Bayou, where you can enjoy a sunset cruise on a large paddle-wheel boat. If the shopper in you is calling, then you should plan a trip to the Strand … Galveston’s historic shopping mecca. You’ll find great antique stores and wonderful galleries throughout this popular slice of Texas history. Shop till you drop, then cool off with some tasty appetizers at Yagas.

So far, we’ve suggested a fun, loose destination on the East Coast and three destinations in the central part of the US Where’s the third, you wondering? it’s easy and sophisticated … Napa Valley, California. For you oenophiles, Napa is heaven. However, when you want a break from wine tasting, this area offers many decadent diversions.

Meadowood (Meadowood Resort- 800-458-8080) is a great home base for you and your friends. With eighty-five cabins, suites, and inns, nestled on the wooded slope of a beautiful valley, you’ll be comfortable and safe. Enjoy your choice of pleasure that includes hiking, swimming, spa treatments, golf, and even croquet. Be sure to visit St. Helena for a great shopping experience. Stop by the St. Helena Olive Oil Company, where you’ll find a wide variety of specialty vinegars, oils, jams, salamis, and dessert sauces. For a high-end experience in children’s clothing and gifts, visit Freckle’s. You will find great souvenirs and gifts. For chocolate lovers, you must visit Woodhouse Chocolate where you will find everything to satisfy your sweet tooth. You’ll have to be the judge, but Napa locals seem to have a youthful aura around them. Maybe it’s the stress-free life found in this wine wonderland.
